I'm Mahim Gupta, a backend engineer in Bengaluru. Since May 2024 I have built and run the backend of FNCR, a US financing platform for small and mid-market businesses, at Fischer Jordan, working remotely: Django REST Framework services, ten-plus LLM agents integrated into one product, partner API integrations, a migration from AWS to Azure, and the staging-to-production release workflow.
Before that I was a research intern at DRDO's Defence Institute of Advanced Technology in Pune, reverse-engineering drone flight-log formats: recovering a CRC64 checksum and building a toolkit that decodes DJI, Parrot and Anafi telemetry for forensic analysis. I studied computer science at IIIT Pune, with an honours track in machine learning.
What I care about in a backend: boundaries that survive contact with production, idempotent retries, and enough observability to know what an LLM did after the fact. I am learning Go.

Co-author of “Drone Forensics: A Deep Dive into Datasets and Tools”, submitted to the International Journal of Electronic Security and Digital Forensics.
